During the general proposal period in autumn 2025, opposition politicians submitted 49 suggestions regarding how to improve the settlement of newly arrived immigrants, establishment programs, and efforts against parallel societies.

The Swedish parliament decided to reject all 49 proposals because similar work is already underway within the government and responsible authorities.
