During the autumn general motion period, politicians submitted numerous proposals concerning property law, such as land lease fees and property acquisition rules.

Proposals & Debate

The proposals covered various property law topics including tomträtt, compensation for expropriation, pre-emption rights, and an overhaul of Lantmäteriet. The opposition wanted to change current regulations, while the parliamentary committee argued that these topics had already been addressed earlier in the electoral period.

The Decision

The Swedish parliament decided to turn down all of the opposition's proposals regarding property law.
