Background & Purpose

During the general private members' bill period, around fifty proposals were submitted regarding various property law topics such as land leases, real estate brokerage, and surveying. Since work is already underway in several of these areas, the parliamentary committee recommended rejecting the suggestions.

The Decision

The Swedish parliament voted down all of the approximately fifty proposals from the opposition. With a clear majority, the parliament chose not to initiate any new legislative changes.
