To improve safety and attractiveness in specific areas, local groups often work together on projects that go beyond what the government provides. This law was created to ensure these costs can be shared fairly among all property owners who benefit from the improvements.
The Decision
The Swedish parliament decided that organizations managing local area cooperation have the right to charge property owners a fee to cover costs for safety and development projects.
