Background & Purpose
During the autumn 2022 general private members' motion period, various parliamentarians submitted numerous proposals concerning the future of road traffic and vehicles in Sweden.
Proposals & Debate
The proposals covered a wide range of topics including transitioning to a fossil-free vehicle fleet, expanding charging and refueling stations, regulations for autonomous vehicles, heavier and longer trucks, parking rules, and measures against figurehead vehicle owners. The opposition urged the government to take action on these specific fronts.
The Decision
Following the traffic committee's recommendation, the Swedish parliament voted down all 104 proposals.

In Practice
