Background & Purpose

During the autumn of 2025, opposition parties submitted many suggestions to improve cycling conditions in Sweden. These proposals were a response to a government report on how to make cycling safer and more accessible for everyone.

The Decision

The parliament voted to say no to all 104 proposals from the opposition. No new laws or changes to current cycling policies were made.
