During the autumn of 2025, members of the Swedish parliament submitted several proposals to improve the country's roads, railways, and shipping. The opposition wanted to see changes in how transport projects are planned and funded.
The Decision
The Swedish parliament voted to reject all the proposed changes to infrastructure policy. This means that no new laws or directives will be introduced, and current transport plans will continue as previously decided.
