Every year, the Swedish government reports on the work and costs of the various state committees and expert groups it has appointed. During 2024, the total cost for these investigations reached nearly 600 million SEK.

Proposals & Debate

The government submitted its annual report showing that 65 new committees were started and 84 were wrapped up in 2024. Meanwhile, opposition parties filed eleven motions regarding how laws are made, asking for changes in the legislative process.

The Swedish parliament accepted the government report without taking any further action and voted down all the opposition proposals.
