During the autumn of 2025, opposition parties submitted many suggestions for how to improve schools, covering everything from grading and safety to teaching methods. The government and the majority in parliament believe that current rules and ongoing projects are already sufficient.

The parliament voted to say no to all 146 proposals, meaning that no new laws or changes to the school system will be introduced at this time.
